Gym Rules and Etiquette:

  1. Be on Time.  If you aren't early, you're late.  Show up in time to change, get stretched, and for those with small bladders, go to the restroom.
  2. Sign up for class.  It is a simple process that will keep me sane.
  3. Your mother doesn't work here.  Clean up after yourself.  If you use it, put it back.  If you sweat, bleed, or puke on it, disinfect it.  Put weights up neatly (I hate crooked stacks of bumpers).
  4. Scaling when needed is Intelligent, not Weak.  An injured athlete is a lot less productive than a healthy one.
  5. We are respectful, but not politically correct.  We curse, fart, yell, grunt, scream, sweat, and bleed...You will too.
  6. We are a family of friends and community.  We celebrate PRs in even the smallest of gains.  When someone improves, let them know how awesome it is!
  7. If you see someone you don't recognize, introduce yourself.  Make them feel welcome.
  8. Try to keep bar dropping to a minimum.  It should be for needed situations, not convenience.  NEVER drop a naked bar!
  9. Do every rep listed with proper form and technique.  If you lose count, you start at 1.  No one cares what your score is.  Everyone cares if you cheated.
  10. Wait until the LAST person is finished with their WOD before cleaning up.  They are working just as hard as you.  Respect their effort and cheer them on.  Encouragement goes a long way!
  11. Check your ego at the door.  There is always someone, somewhere who is better than you.  Accept it and show up with an attitude to be better than you were yesterday.
